Peace#1

Reluctantly after retiring this quilt from showing, I'm putting Peace#1 on the market. All the photos will enlarge if you click on them.
It's design took place over several years. I drew the centre of the quilt directly onto the top white fabric and then put it away whilst I decided what to do with the borders.
One day last year inspiration struck, and the dove (of peace) demanded she be put in the centre.

I then was happy to add feathers to the border. This is the quilt on a 4'6" wide bed. Though personally, I'd like it hanging on the wall behind the bed. The quilt is approximately 80" square. Over 10,000 yds of YLI soft Touch were used in the quilting.

The background quilting within the border is a Diane Gaudynski type filler, she calls it bananas, I think it is one of the most elegant background quilting designs there is.

At all the shows this quilt was a crowd puller. The above photo was taken at the National Quilt Championship in 2007. Quilts of this quality are rarely available.

This one is at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC in Birmingham, UK in 2006. This phot and the one below most accurately show the true colours of the quilt.

It has won the Wholecloth at the Scottish National Quilt Championship, 1st Bed Quilt at the Great Northern Quilt Festival, and the Machine Quilting Award at the National Quilt Championship (all of these awards were won in 2007).

I am asking £930 (approximately US$1,980) to include shipping and packing worldwide (this does not include any duty payable in your country). I can accept Paypal from the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (other countries will be considered) or personal cheques from the UK.
